Round 12 reshuffled the top of the ladder. Geelong toppled top-seed Sydney 107-80 at GMHBA, Carlton belted Port by 34 at Adelaide Oval, GWS smashed Brisbane by 28 at ENGIE Stadium, and Fremantle put 104 on St Kilda at Optus.

Hawthorn edged Adelaide by 9 in the Launceston Thursday opener, Richmond beat Essendon by 18 in the Dreamtime clash, North Melbourne held off Gold Coast by 6, Collingwood saw off West Coast by 10, and the Bulldogs stunned Melbourne by 3 to close the round.

Fremantle (10-1, 135.4%) are now clear at the top. Sydney drop to 2nd at 9-2. Geelong (8-3) jump to 3rd ahead of Hawthorn, Gold Coast and Melbourne (all 7-4).
